Alcohol Possible Cause in Fatal Accident: Police
A Catonsville woman died early Monday when her SUV went off a highway and hit a tree in Glen Burnie, authorities say.

Alcohol consumption appears to have had a role in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning that killed the driver, authorities say.
The accident was reported about 2 a.m. on Arundel Expressway (MD-10) near I-695 in Glen Burnie, say Anne Arundel County Police.
A 2010 Honda CR-V driven by Robin S. Ellis, 41, of Catonsville was northbound on the Arundel Expressway and failed to negotiate a curve in the road, police say. The SUV went into a wooded area, where it overturned and struck a tree.

Ellis was declared dead at the scene by Fire Department personnel; her body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The cause of the crash is driver error.
Excessive speed was not a factor in the collision, police say, but alcohol use appears to have contributed to the crash.
