Several programs and ceremonies will be held across Anne Arundel County Nov. 10-12.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Veterans will be honored in Anne Arundel County in a variety of ways this year, including with the Annapolis Annual Veteran's Day Ceremony hosted by the Fleet Reserve Association Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The City of Annapolis Police and Fire Department marching units and the Annapolis Sea Cadets and Annapolis High School Naval Junior Corps will be participating. The keynote speaker will be 5th Master Chief Petty Officer of the United States Coast Guard, Mark H. Allen (retired).

Downtown Annapolis will fill the Veterans Day weekend with events that celebrate and honor veterans starting Nov. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. with a Veterans Celebration block party on Market Space in downtown Annapolis. The event will feature live music all day including hometown Annapolis musician Jeremy Ragsdale who just recently returned to the United States after winning X Factor Romania 2017. The music then continues with the Gutterball Kingpin Band which is filled with United States Naval Academy grads playing a wide range of 70's funk, 80's dance and modern hits that you will want to sing and dance to.

A ceremony also will be held Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the World War II Memorial, Route 450 at Naval Academy Bridge, 1920 Ritchie Highway, Annapolis. On Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. Anne Arundel Community College's annual Veterans Day ceremony and reception will kick off at the Veteran Memorial Garden at the base of AACC's west campus amphitheater.
