Adopt-A-Thon at Anne Arundel County Animal Control May 11

Adopt-A-Thon at Anne Arundel County Animal Control Saturday May 11th from 10 am to 3 pm. This event will feature waived adoption fees for select animals, live music, adoptable animals and more!

On Saturday, May 11, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Anne Arundel County Animal Control will be hosting an “Adopt-A-Thon”. The event will be held at the Anne Arundel County Animal Control shelter located at 411 Maxwell Frye Road in Millersville, Maryland.

During this event, fees for animals ages seven years of age or older will be waived.  Adopters of these “senior” pets will only be responsible for paying the licensing fee at the time of adoption. A bill passed by the County Council in September of 2012 now gives Animal Control the ability to waive certain adoption fees for specific events with approval from the Chief of Police. Animal Control hopes this special event and the waived fees will help both “senior” animals and other animals at the shelter find forever homes.
