O's From the Booth 6/9 - O's Top Phillies in 12 Walk Off Style!!!

Good evening O's fans.  The O's still sit in third place Saturdat night but won a big game Sunday 6-4 over the Phillies in extra innings.  

The Phillies had a lot of fans make the trip south to Baltimore even though their team is in last place.

Tommy Hunter was called up to pitch the game Saturday. Tommy gave the O's a great outing today going seven solid innings giving up only three runs on eight hits.  All three runs were on solo home runs by the Phillies Jimmy Rollins, Jim Thome, and Victor Luna.  

The Orioles bull pen did the job again holding the Phillies to no runs over the final four innings. This was a see-saw game today. The O's kept bouncing back.  

They took the lead 3-2 On a Ryan Flaherty RBI single and a error by Mike Fontenot on a hard hit ball by Endy Chavez.  The Phillies tied in the top of the fifth.  The O's took the lead in the bottom of the seventh and the Phillies tied at 4-4 in the top of the eighth.  It stayed this way until the bottom of the 12th.

Adam Jones who broke a 0-18 drought earlier in the game with a single came up with Chris Davis on 1st base.  Adam jacked a two-run bomb for the walk-off win for the O's to keep pace with the Yankees and the Rays. The O's got to Jason Hammels tomorrow to try to take the series.  They really need this one. Let's Go O's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
