Anyone can do it.

My three-year old granddaughter had come to Pasadena for a visit.  We spent the morning playing with the old Fisher Price Village, arts and crafts with all kinds of bits to glue, and then to Downs Park to climb on the playground.  The warm sun and breeze from the Bay made us hungry and hopefully, tired.  We went home for lunch - peanut butter sandwich, carrots, apple and milk.  After two stories “Are You My Mother” and “The Loud Book”, she settled down for a nap with Roo and Joey, her stuffed kangaroos.  I kicked off my shoes and sat in my favorite chair with my book.  Quiet.  I dozed until the phone jarred me to consciousness.  It was my friend from the UK.

“You called us on Skype?” she asked.

“No, I didn’t.  I’m busy with my granddaughter.”

“You did call.”

“Not me, the computer is in the room where my granddaughter is sleeping.”

“Something is amiss.  I can see into that room.  The chair in front of your computer is moving but there is no one in the chair.”
I was speechless.  My mind tried to change gears and comprehend the situation.

“My granddaughter is sleeping in the computer room.”

“I believe your granddaughter has been caught not napping by me, five thousand miles away!”

Laughing, I climbed the stairs to have a peek.  Slowly, I opened the door and my granddaughter, who had half her body on the chair, was pushing it round and round.  Skype was indeed on the computer screen.  She had managed to wake up my computer, found the Skype icon, click on contacts, saw the green video and called.  Anyone can do it.
