Boat Crash Update: Pasadena Woman Succumbs To Injuries After Magothy River Hit-And-Run

A Pasadena woman died after a hit-and-run boat crash on the Magothy River, police said. Officers are still looking for the suspect.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A Pasadena woman succumbed to injuries that she sustained this weekend during a hit-and-run boat crash, authorities told Patch on Wednesday.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police identified the victim as 63-year-old Laura Slattery.

The collision happened on the Magothy River around 10 p.m. Sunday. Slattery was on a Wellcraft boat with a man. Another vessel hit them while entering the river's 6-knot channel, officers said.

Authorities described the striking vessel as a white center-console boat that is about 25 feet long. Police said the unknown suspect fled and was last seen boating into Deep Creek in Cape St. Claire.

Officers are still looking for the striking vessel. Investigators asked anybody with information to call (410) 260-8888.
