Update: Missing 76-Year-Old Hanover Man Found

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said a 76-year-old man missing from Hanover has been found.

ANNE ARUNDEL, MD — Anne Arundel County Police said Monday night that a missing Hanover man had been found safe. Police were searching for Albert Boyd Jr., who was missing since Friday. Boyd, 76, is from Hanover. He is a 6-foot-tall Black man. Boyd weighs about 218 pounds and wears glasses.

Boyd was last contacted while his 2017 Silver Honda Accord. His car is registered in Maryland under the number DEA-459.

Anne Arundel County Police say Boyd was treated at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center Thursday evening. Boyd left the hospital just before 1 a.m. Friday, according to the report. After his discharge, police say Boyd took a ride-sharing service toward Fort Meade to pick up his car.

The person who reported that Boyd was missing said Boyd called them several times, reporting he was lost and confused. Boyd last called the reporter at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, saying he was close to docks and many large trucks.

Police thought Boyd may have been near the 3100 block of Sun Street in Curtis Bay, but they could not find him. Police have tried to call Boyd and leave him messages, but they have not heard back.

Boyd lives on the 7700 block of Siden Drive in Hanover. A shooting on his block sent one man to the UM Laurel Medical Center early Sunday morning. Police have not made any arrests in that case.

Police are seeking the public's help finding Boyd. They issued a Silver Alert Monday afternoon.
