85-Year-Old Woman Killed In Head-On Collision: Anne Arundel County Police
An 85-year-old woman was killed in a car crash that was reported Monday in Odenton, police announced.
ODENTON, MD — An 85-year-old woman was killed in a head-on car crash that happened in Odenton, Anne Arundel County Police said Tuesday.
Officials identified the woman as Amelia Knuckey, of Odenton, and said that she had been a passenger in a 2020 Hyundai Tucson that was struck by the 62-year-old driver of a Lexus RX350 SUV.
Police said the fatal crash took place Monday on Piney Orchard Parkway near Ransom Drive. First responders were dispatched to the scene shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Preliminary findings state the crash happened moments after the woman driving the Lexus failed to steer the car around a curve when traveling southbound on Piney Orchard Parkway. She ultimately collided head-on with the Hyundai Tucson that was on the northbound lanes.
Knuckey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lexus driver and the 85-year-old man who was driving the Hyundai were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
