Make a special Mother's Day Saturday memory and bring Mom and the family to the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum's Open Cockpit Day on Saturday, May 10 from 11am to 3pm. Located at Martin State Airport in Middle River, the Museum will open its aircraft to the public for an up close visit. Your Mom and family members can sit in the pilot's seat of a Viet Nam era jet fighter and T 34 trainer, climb into a Martin Canberra, and also experience air travel of the 1950's by boarding the Museum's 1952 Martin 404 passenger airliner. For visitors who enjoyed the cast of airplanes in the Disney movie "Planes", a fun afternoon visiting the Museum's cast of planes will provide special memories with an up close look at the Thunderchief, the Thunderflash, the Phantom, the Skyhawk, the Voodoo, the Shooting Star, the Beech, the Cougar, the Cloudster, the Corsair and the supersonic Super Saber. It is a budget friendly day of aviation fun for all ages at $3 for adults and $1 for children. For additional information on either event call 410-682-6122 or visit www.mdairmuseum.org.
