1 Dead, 2 Injured In 1-695 Baltimore Rear-End Crash
The fatal accident, when one car rear-ended another on I-695, left one dead and two injured.

PIKESVILLE, MD — A Wednesday evening crash on I-695 left one dead and two injured, according to police. It happened just after 5 p.m.
Police say traffic conditions caused the traffic to slow on the highway when a Chevy driven by a 60-year-old Reisterstown man rear-ended a Volkswagen GTI.
Leonis Shamis, 59, of Reisterstown, was the passenger in the Chevy. He was injured in the crash, went into cardiac arrest and later died, police say.

The drivers of the Chevy and Volkswagen were taken to Northwest Hospital with non-life threaten injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
