$19K Reward Offered For Info After Baltimore Police Sergeant Shot
Federal and local partners have announced a $19,000 reward for information about the gunman in the officer shooting in Baltimore.
BALTIMORE, MD — There is a $19,000 reward for information after a Baltimore police sergeant was shot and injured in his neighborhood Thursday afternoon in the northeastern part of the city. Federal, state and local agencies have pledged their support to help find the gunman after the veteran officer was put on life support at shock trauma.
Sgt. Isaac Carrington, 43, was talking with a neighbor on his front lawn when a vehicle believed to be an Acura pulled up, at least one man wearing a face mask got out and the man pointed a gun at them, demanding their valuables, police said. The neighbor threw his belongings down and ran, and Carrington ran the opposite direction, at which point the gunman chased and shot the off-duty officer multiple times.
The Baltimore ATF and FBI, Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, Baltimore Police Department and D.C. bureau of the DEA are offering a reward for tips leading to an arrest in the shooting.
