300 Homicides In Baltimore Reported So Far In 2018
There have reportedly been 300 homicides in Baltimore this year. Homicide victims this week ranged from 24 to 64 years old.

BALTIMORE, MD — There have reportedly been 300 homicides so far this year in Baltimore City. Mayor Catherine Pugh said homicides are trending down in 2018 but that every life lost to violence is one too many, in a press conference last week announcing the city's gun buyback program.
At that point, there had been more than 290 homicides.
In 2017, there were 343 homicides for the year in Baltimore.

"At the end of the day, they all deserve an equal amount of urgency," Interim Commissioner Gary Tuggle told The Baltimore Sun of the 300th homicide, reported on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
The city had recorded 300 homicides last year by Nov. 3.

These are the homicide victims reported this week, according to the Baltimore Police Department, which in some cases has not released their names yet:
A 30-year-old man died after a shooting in the western district at 11:27 p.m. on Dec. 19. Officers responding to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Baker Street found a man shot in the face and upper body. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
A 24-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds when western district officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 2800 block of Parkwood Avenue at 4:32 p.m. on Dec. 19. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
A 25-year-old man was found shot in the 1700 block of Presstman Street by officers on patrol in the western district at 1:06 p.m. on Dec. 19. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died. His identity has not been provided.
Mousa Mohammad Jaber, 64, was shot in the 2900 block of Garrison Boulevard at 10:34 p.m. on Dec. 15. A medic took Jaber to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Police have asked for help identifying four people seen on this video in connection with his death. He was killed in front of the shop he owned, Stop 1 convenience store, according to WJZ, which said aother shooting happened there in December 2016 that killed two and injured four people.
Daniel Battle, 42, was shot in the 2800 block of Pelham Avenue in the northeast district at 9:59 p.m. on Dec. 14. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Antonio Wright, 27, was killed Dec. 14 in the 1600 block of East Biddle Street. Officers had been called to the 1200 block of East Biddle Street at 11:01 a.m. on Dec. 14 to investigate a reported shooting. They found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased by Johns Hopkins medical personnel.
Ebony Moore, 25, of the 700 block of West Saratoga Street, was shot inside a vehicle in a parking lot in the unit block of Reebird Avenue. Police were dispatched at 1:23 p.m. on Dec. 13. She was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead. She leaves behind two children, a 6-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy, according to Fox 45, which reported she was shot outside the social services office in Cherry Hill, where she had taken her nephew.
Pugh is hosting a citywide vigil to honor and embrace families impacted by violence in Baltimore City, where faith leaders and members of the healing and bereavement communities will be in attendance.
Mayor Catherine Pugh's Prayer Vigil will take place outside the War Memorial, 101 N Gay St, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27.
