Baltimore Ravens Mascot Poe Injures Drumstick During Halftime Game
The Baltimore Ravens' Poe was giving it his all in the inaugural mascot classic when he was taken to the turf by a teenager in uniform.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore Ravens mascot Poe had to be carted off the field Saturday when a preseason halftime game against a team of kids took a surprisingly rough turn, according to reports.
Poe was giving it his all while participating in the inaugural mascot classic, a youth football game played during Baltimore's preseason finale against the Washington Commanders. That's when a kid in uniform swooped in and tackled him from behind, Sports Illustrated reported.
It took multiple people to stabilize Poe's left leg, then get him and his ruffled feathers off the field, according to ESPN.

When asked about the mascot's condition after the game, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, "I knew you guys were going to ask me that."
"No updates on that. There will be an MRI tomorrow, for sure," Harbaugh continued, according to ESPN.

On Sunday, the Ravens posted an update on Poe's condition.
Injuries plagued the Ravens last season, when 25 players were placed on injured reserve at some point, according to ESPN. Saturday, however, marked the first time a mascot was injured during a Ravens game.
