MD Woman Who Tried Breaking Into PA School Charged: Police
Authorities said the woman led police on a miles-long chase and prayed as she was taken into custody in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore woman is facing numerous charges after authorities said she drove 100 miles to a Pennsylvania school and tried to force her way into its office before leading police on a miles-long chase.
Erica A. Dubose, 37, was charged with criminal trespassing, eluding an officer, and driving with a suspended license following the Friday incident in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Derry Township police said in a release.
According to police, Dubose drove to Hershey Elementary School and tried to gain access to the school's main office around 10:45 a.m. by forcefully pulling on the locked door while loudly yelling.

A Derry Township School District school resource officer alerted police to Dubose's presence; however, when authorities arrived at the school, Dubose got in her Toyota Camry and fled, according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by PennLive.com.
According to the affidavit, Dubose led police on an 8-mile chase during which she drove over curbs, through a lawn and nearly crashed into an oncoming car.

The chase ended when Dubose drove into a parking lot and could not travel any further, police said.
As police took Dubose into custody, authorities said refused to provide her name and was repeatedly praying to God and Jesus as she was arrested, PennLive.com reported.
Police said it's unclear what connection Dubose had to Hershey Elementary School or why she was trying to gain access to the building.
