'Hamilton' the Musical Coming to Hippodrome in Baltimore

The award-winning musical will be put on at the Hippodrome Theatre during the 2018-2019 season.

BALTIMORE, MD — The hit hip-hop musical "Hamilton," which tells the American story of revolutionaries forging a new nation, is going to make its way to Baltimore.

The Hippodrome Theatre announced this week that the Broadway show would appear in Charm City during the 2018–2019 season.

"Hamilton" the musical, by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton.

While the exact dates for Baltimore's run of the hit musical have not been announced, subscribers to the Hippodrome Theatre shows will have their shot at tickets before they go on sale for the general public. Specifically, subscribers for the 2017-2018 season who renew for the 2018-2019 season will have first crack at "Hamilton" tickets. Renewals for the 2017-2018 season are due by Feb. 24. The 2017-2018 season at the Hippodrome Theatre will include The Color Purple, Waitress, On Your Feet!, Love Never Dies, The Lion King, School of Rock and An American in Paris.
