Kirsten Corazzini receives $250,000 research grant

Kirsten Corazzini, Ph.D., FSGA, is one of eight national recipients of the Alzheimer's Association's Advancing Research on Care and Outcome Measurements (ARCOM) grant. The $250,000 award, presented to the University of Maryland Baltimore professor, supports a study of person-centered long-term dementia care in domestic and global communities. Corazzini is a renowned researcher and associate dean of the University's Ph.D. program.ARCOM works in collaboration with LINC-AD (Leveraging an Interdisciplinary Consortium to Improve Care and Outcomes for Person Living with Alzheimer's and Dementia). The five-year consortium, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is undertaking a series of high-impact activities to usher in the next phase of psychosocial research in Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia. ARCOM's partnership with LINC-AD is the first collaborative program to address these care and outcome measures.
