MD School Closings: Find Out If The Kids Get A Snow Day

As the second winter storm in a week hits Maryland, districts are getting ready to decide whether or not to close schools on Wednesday, March 7. The National Weather Service is calling for anywhere from 1 to 7 inches of snow in parts of the state.
Northeastern Maryland is expected to get the most snow.
School closings and delays will be announced here as they come in for Wednesday, March 7.

Schools Closed:
- Cecil County Public Schools
- Cecil College
- Harford County Public Schools (code green for employees)
- Harford Community College
- Harford Day School
Schools Delayed:
- AACC opening at 11 a.m.
- Baltimore County Public Schools (two-hour delay)
- CCBC campuses opening at 10 a.m.
- Carroll County Public Schools (two-hour delay, re-evaluation possible)
- Kent County Public Schools (90-minute delay)
- Queen Anne's County Public Schools (90-minute delay)
Government Offices And Other Delays
- Baltimore County government on liberal leave
- Cecil County government on liberal leave. Elkton Center is closed. Cecil Transit Fixed Route delayed.
- Harford County government and town of Bel Air on liberal leave
- Havre de Grace City Hall opening at 10 a.m.

This latest winter weather event comes on the heels of Friday's storm, which knocked out power to more than 400,000 people in Maryland.
More than 8,000 people remain without power in central Maryland as of 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, according to BGE's outage map.
During last week's weather event, schools in Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Garrett, Montgomery, Prince George's counties and Baltimore City closed, while schools in Cecil and Harford counties dismissed early.
