Baltimore Mother Charged In Death Of Infant: Reports
A Baltimore woman is accused of child abuse and neglect, which police say played a role in her two-month-old baby's death.

BALTIMORE, MD — A mother is facing charges after the death of her infant, according to reports. Tiffany Nutter, 35, is facing charges of first- and second-degree child abuse and neglect of a child in Baltimore, police said.
On Friday, around 11 p.m., police were called to the University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown, WBAL reported, on the report of the injured baby, Jawuan Pinkeny, who was two months old. Jawuan, unresponsive, had injuries in multiple areas of his body, investigators said.
He was pronounced dead shortly after. The medical examiner determined the boy's death was homicide by blunt force trauma.

Nutter is believed to have called a family member Friday night about Juwuan's injuries. The relative picked Nutter and Juwuan up from the 2000 block of McCullough Street to take them to the hospital.
Investigators believed Nutter knew her baby needed medical attention, WBAL reported, for several hours before even calling for help.

"Very sad situation that we're dealing with here," T.J. Smith, Baltimore police spokesman, said. "...We're talking about a 2-month-old who suffered for some period of time in the last moments of his life.
"Unfortunately, 911 wasn't called. We don't know if it would have saved the child's life, but that's something that has to be done in a scenario like this," Smith said.
