SUV Involved In Shootout Drives To Johns Hopkins Hospital: BPD
Police said officials ended up outside Johns Hopkins Hospital Tuesday afternoon after following a vehicle involved in a gunfight.

BALTIMORE, MD — Officers witnessed a shooting in east Baltimore Tuesday afternoon that led to a large police presence outside Johns Hopkins Hospital, according to police. The shooting did not happen at the hospital, but a vehicle involved in the violence drove there, drawing police to the area, authorities said.
Before 2:30 p.m., officers witnessed two groups of people involved in a shooting, according to Baltimore Police Chief of Media Relations T.J. Smith.
The gunfight took place in the 2100 block of Aiken Street, he said.

Officers followed an SUV that was involved, and it ended up at the Wolfe Street entrance of Johns Hopkins Hospital, where Smith said they found one person inside the SUV who had been shot.
Two others inside the vehicle were taken into custody, he said.

"We also believe there could be other shooting victims," Smith reported.
