Fire on Moores Mill Road Displaces 6 People, Officials Say

The fire was contained to the third floor of an apartment complex, Harford fire officials reported.

Nobody was injured in a fire that broke out at an apartment complex off Moores Mill Road Thursday night, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

Two adults and four children were displaced as a result of the blaze in the 400 block of Moores Mill Road, which was reported at approximately 7:15 p.m., Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association spokeswoman Jenn Price said.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal was investigating the cause of the fire, which was knocked in 10 minutes, Price reported.

By 7:30 p.m., firefighters had contained the blaze to the third floor of the building, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

It was a busy day for the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which handled a chimney fire and pediatric rescue Thursday afternoon, while filling in for Baltimore City so firefighters there could attend a funeral for one of their own.
