Conrad's Sets Opening Date In Abingdon

ABINGDON, MD — The new seafood restaurant in Abingdon is set to open this month in the Boulevard at Box Hill shopping center. Conrad's Seafood Restaurant will serve up lunch, dinner and drinks starting April 23, officials announced on Facebook.

It will offer indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeout with American fare and seafood.

Among the $250,000 spent in renovations, the new owners have installed a sushi bar and an oyster bar, according to The Aegis, which reports Tony Conrad, whose brother Christopher is one of the owners of the restaurant, catches the fish daily. Tony Conrad started the original Conrad's.

This will be the second Conrad's restaurant; there's a Conrad's Seafood Restaurant in Perry Hall, which opened in 2014 as an extension of Conrad's Crabs, a seafood market and carryout founded in 2007 on Joppa Road in Parkville.

The soft opening for Conrad's in Abingdon will be April 18, and it will be followed in June by the opening of Conrad's Seafood Market on Baltimore Pike in Bel Air, according to The Aegis.

Conrad's Seafood Restaurant is at 3414 Merchant Boulevard in Abingdon. Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
