Conrad's To Expand From Perry Hall Into Harford County

ABINGDON, MD — Conrad's Seafood Restaurant is reportedly planning to open a sister restaurant in Harford County in 2019. The new business will be in Abingdon.

Conrad's Seafood is planning to take over the space where OC Brewing Company is located, The Aegis reported. The OC Brewing Company restaurant and taphouse building is situated next to Panera in The Boulevard at Box Hill shopping center, which also includes Wegmans.

Chris Conrad, who lives in Fallston and whose brother owns Conrad's Seafood on Belair Road, told The Aegis that he hopes to create a menu slightly different from the Perry Hall restaurant that includes daily sushi offerings.

The goal is to open Conrad's in Abingdon by April 2019, he told the newspaper, after making some minor renovations, such as enclosing the on-site playground.

Conrad's Seafood Restaurant shared the news on its Facebook page on Wednesday, Dec. 12, with this message: "#2 COMING SOON!!"

Conrad's Seafood Restaurant in Perry Hall opened in 2014 as an extension of Conrad's Crabs, a carryout restaurant and seafood market founded in 2007 on Joppa Road in Parkville.

The business has flourished since and so has another establishment that was connected to it. Recently, Meringue Cake Studio, which used to be above Conrad's, moved into its own retail shop in the Perry Hall Crossing shopping center near Aldi, after gaining popularity for its custom desserts featured at Conrad's.
