Joppa Halloween Display 'Bigger And Better' This Year

This Joppa home has characters, including a spooky butler, waiting to greet Halloween visitors. Guests can help an area animal rescue too.

JOPPA, MD — A house in Joppa that has been decked out for Halloween in recent years has gotten dressed up again. Briana Millar, whose home was featured on Bel Air Patch last Halloween, says she has made the decorations "bigger and better this year."

There are new characters, she said, such as "Jack Skellington," and a butler. She has also added more witches and lights.

Visitors can help out a good cause when they stop by, too, if they are so inclined.

Millar, 24, who said in an interview last year that she loves the "magic of being a kid again" during Halloween, has experienced magic of a different kind. This year, she's been fostering pets through an animal rescue.

To help the organization, Millar has set up donation boxes outside her door on Pine Road in Joppa. All monetary proceeds and pet supplies put into the collection boxes will go to Mabel's Orphaned Angels Rescue, the Maryland-based organization with which she has been volunteering.

The Halloween house is at 915 Pine Road in Joppa, off US 40 across from the Animal Care Center. The display is on from 6 to 10 p.m. daily, possibly later on Halloween night.
