Police Identify I-95 Crash Victim Killed Near Route 24 Exit
A 49-year-old man has been identified as the pedestrian who died in a crash on I-95 in Harford County this week.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Police have identified the man killed Wednesday night on Interstate 95 in Harford County. After the crash, authorities withheld the name to identify his next of kin.
Andre Dickerson, 49, died on Interstate 95 south near the exit for MD 24, Maryland State Police spokeswoman Elena Russo told Patch. He was from Baltimore, she said.
According to police, Dickerson had been walking in the fast lane when he was hit by a vehicle on I-95 south near mile marker 77. His vehicle was found north of the crash scene.

The type of vehicle he had been driving and the reason he was walking in the fast lane remain under investigation, Russo said as of Friday, April 12.
Police said that Dickerson was hit before 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. The Abingdon Fire Company was called to the scene, where police said Dickerson was pronounced deceased.

I-95 south was closed until approximately 2:05 a.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Police said that the crash remains under investigation.

Dickerson was the second pedestrian in two weeks killed in a crash along a 10-mile stretch of I-95.
An 18-year-old from Perry Hall was killed on Wednesday, March 27, around 10:40 p.m. He was hit near mile marker 68.5.
