Singer Road Reopens After Downed Utility Poles
Drivers were advised to take alternate routes around Singer Road Tuesday due to storm damage.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Several electrical poles fell on a road in Harford County Tuesday, prompting a closure. Singer Road was closed for several hours between MD 152/Mountain Road and Clayton Road, according to Harford County officials.
The utility poles came down during a storm Tuesday afternoon, according to Harford County officials, who said that the closure was necessary while BGE obtained a transformer.
Authorities said Singer Road reopened before 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 3:45 p.m. with up to 60 mph winds forecast in the area. A flood warning was also in effect for parts of Harford County until 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to BGE, there were multiple outages in the area, and 292 Harford County customers were without power after 7 p.m.

Along Singer Road, there were dozens of outages, attributed to lightning in one area and downed limbs in another. Crews were reportedly on site.
As of 9:20 p.m., there were 145 people without power in Harford County, according to the BGE outage map.
