Reviewer Brian S. wrote: "This is not your typical coffee/donut shop. The space is shared by Bold Bite, a hotdog and burger joint. Wasn't sure it was the right place when I first walked in. There is a barista stand to the right side of wall along with the menu for the coffee and donuts. We got the flat white coffee and iced cold brew and absolutely enjoyed it. I'm not a big fan of Starbucks, which is right around the corner, so am glad there is a good alternative nearby."

Commenter Vishal S. said, "This is definitely our go to place for coffee and gelato when we are in the area. Chic interiors and plenty of gelato flavors makes the experience worth the (sometimes) long wait. They do a good job with espresso based drinks too. Prices are up there, but so is the experience. The only things against it the extremely limited space and seating inside the store."
Aroma Espresso Bar, 7101 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda
Said reviewer Grace K.: "I don't understand....walk in almost no one is in here. I ask for a coffee menu and she said they don't have coffee at all. At a coffee shop. Now I get why it's so empty."
Peet’s Coffee, 7629 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda
Visitor Chantel E. commented: "I just loves Peet's! Way more options (almond AND soy milk) than Starbucks and better tasting coffee too! I wish there were more Peet's in the area. This location is very clean, open, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have outdoor seating which is great in the warmer months I have to say this is probably one of my fave chain coffee places."
Quartermaine Coffee Roasters, 4817 Bethesda Ave. in Bethesda
Commenter Emmanuel T. said: "The coffee is great. Whether it's an Americano, latte, good old filter, or whatever, it'll probably taste amazing. I can best describe their coffee as very full in flavour. I'm no connoisseur, though, despite my too-frequent consumption of fine caffeinated beverages. Their prices are very reasonable! A hell of a lot cheaper than Starbucks on many things.”
