Action-Packed WWII Spy Musical comes to North Bethesda
See a preview performance of "code name: CYNTHIA" at North Bethesda United Methodist Church.

Spies, sex, politics and the fate of the free world -- no, it’s not another episode of Scandal, it’s the exciting debut of the world-premiere musical code name: CYNTHIA. This edge-of-your-seat thriller reveals the real-life adventures of American spy Betty Thorpe, a World War II intelligence operative who barely escapes the Nazis, only to find herself blackmailed into undertaking another dangerous mission for the Allies to save the world from a vicious dictator. An exhibit at the International Spy Museum actually spawned this action-packed adaptation, developed by Pallas Theatre Collective. The music for code name: CYNTHIA is written by Karen Multer and the book and lyrics are by Steve Multer, a 2014 finalist for the Kleban Prize in musical theater.
Before its full production at the Anacostia Arts Center, catch a preview benefit performance at North Bethesda United Methodist Church.
