Today's riddle: What gets bigger the more you take away? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Crown Princess Martha and family arrive in NYC as exiles (blogspot.com) — During World War II, Norway's Crown Princess Martha and her children ultimately settled at Pook's Hill in Bethesda after arriving in the U.S. as refugees. President Roosevelt helped secure the 140-acre estate, which became their home until Norway's liberation in 1945. The property was later sold, the house demolished, and the land subdivided.
• Two killed in wrong-way crash on I-270 in Montgomery County (wjla.com) — A deadly wrong-way crash on the I-270 spur just south of Democracy Boulevard in the Bethesda area killed two people and injured the other driver Saturday evening. State police say a Ford Mustang going the wrong way struck a Toyota head-on, and investigators are still working to determine how the car entered the highway incorrectly.
