CRESA WASHINGTON DC MANAGING PRINCIPAL RICH RHODES NAMED NEW CHAIR OF CRESA’S NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

May 21, 2013 (Bethesda, MD) – Cresa Washington DC, a corporate real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents tenants and specializes in the delivery of fully integrated services, announces today that one of its managing principals, Rich Rhodes, has been elected chair of Cresa’s national board of directors.

In this new role, he will serve as the intermediary between the firm’s CEO and the board, run the directors’ quarterly meetings, and work on big-picture strategic initiatives.

Additionally, Rhodes says that he will focus on recruiting at the national level, representing the organization at events, and assisting in strategic pitches, around the country.

“I’m extremely excited and humbled to serve as the chair of our organization’s national board of directors,” Rhodes says, noting that another Cresa Washington DC managing principal, Gene Sachs, was on the board for 13 years. “We relish being leaders of the firm, and we take a lot of pride in that.”

At the end of April, Rhodes began his one-year term as chair, and his term could extend for a second year.

A nearly 30-year managing principal with Cresa Washington DC, whose headquarters is in Bethesda and has other offices in the District of Columbia, McLean and Baltimore, Rhodes served as a national director for the past two years, including vice chair for the last year.

As he carries out his duties as chair, Rhodes also remains as board member in charge of the marketing committee.

Since joining Cresa Washington DC in 1984, he has consistently and successfully grown his own regional and national client base, while also playing a critical role in attracting the top brokers in the local market to the firm.

More recently, in four of the past five years, Cresa Washington DC has achieved the top producer status among the firm’s almost 60 country-wide offices.

“Cresa Washington DC has come a long way, and my appointment as chairman is just a further acknowledgement of that,” Rhodes says.
