MoCo High School Student Charged After Tuesday's Lockdown
A Bethesda high school was on lockdown Tuesday after a report of a possible gun on campus. A student has been charged, police said.

BETHESDA, MD — A Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School student faces charges after police said he brought an Airsoft gun on campus, prompting authorities to place the building on lockdown Tuesday morning.
According to Montgomery County police, the 15-year-old boy was charged with disruption of school activities, possession of a weapon on school property and possession of a concealed weapon in connection with the incident.
Police did not identify the teen because he is a minor.

The high school was placed on lockdown shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after authorities received a report of a possible weapon at the school, police said. The lockdown was lifted around 11:45 a.m.
During the investigation, police identified the student connected with the possible threat and learned he left campus before the lockdown. Police said they tracked the boy to a nearby home, where they took him into custody.

According to authorities, a black Airsoft gun was found in the student’s bag.
