Bethesda Man Killed in Howard County Crash: Police

The 21-year-old hit a tree in Columbia Wednesday morning, police reported.

A Bethesda man was killed when his vehicle hit a tree off Snowden River Parkway in Columbia Wednesday morning, the Howard County Police Department reported.

Emmanuel Guillossou, of the 9900 block of Pomona Drive in Bethesda, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 9300 block of Snowden River Parkway, where police responded at 7:24 a.m., according to the report.

Guillossou’s 2013 Scion FR-S had traveled from the northbound side of the road and hit a tree, the report said. He was the only person in the vehicle, the report stated.

According to preliminary investigation, police said that “speed likely contributed to the collision.”

Snowden River Parkway was closed to northbound traffic for approximately four hours as police investigated, officials said.
