Blackmail, Sexual Abuse Charges: Chevy Chase Man Pleads Guilty
Steven B. Fabrizio, 57, pleaded guilty to blackmailing and sexually abusing a woman he met in 2019 through a dating app.
CHEVY CHASE, MD — Chevy Chase resident Steven B. Fabrizio, 57, pleaded guilty to blackmailing and third degree sexual abuse charges, according to the Washington, D.C. District Attorney's office.
Fabrizio — a former lawyer for the Motion Picture Association of America — texted a woman on a dating website and met her for sex on Aug. 19, 2019, after which he gave her the $400 they had agreed upon previously, the DA said. The next day, he asked to see her again and she declined. Fabrizio then threatened to tell the woman's parents, employer, and landlord about their previous sex for payment arrangement if she didn't meet with him.
She then agreed to meet with him again, during which time he sexually abused her, the DA said.
