A beautiful weekend filled with unity and energy, the perfect time for local non-profits to join Rockville’s non-profit fair. On September 7th, The Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) proudly took part in this year’s non-profit fair. Of the 28 local non-profits who attended, CCACC not only set up a booth to say hi to the community, but also shared the splendor of Chinese culture up on the stage.
The stage opened with Ms. Teresa Harn’s solo dance, demonstrating the beauty of Chinese dance. CCACC’s GuZheng Club, led by Alice Kan, graced everyone’s ears with their beautiful songs. They were on stage for 35 minutes, performing famous folk songs and well-known melodies, attracting many people’s attention.
Additionally, CCACC was fortunate enough to welcome Ms. Zhao Yong Wu to demonstrate the art of Chinese calligraphy. Many took interest in trying it out for themselves, kids included, as parents encouraged them to learn how to hold the brush. Ms. Wu was also there to help people write their names in Chinese, providing a bookmark for them as a keepsake. The fair was over by 3 in the afternoon.
