Composite Released of Suspect Who Threatened Woman With Knife: Police
A teenager carrying a knife closed himself in an apartment room with a woman in Silver Spring, say police, who are asking for tips.

A composite sketch has been released of an armed suspect in a Silver Spring assault, which Montgomery County Police hope will help them identify the man.
Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment in the case.

According to police, a 31-year-old woman was threatened the evening of Jan. 30 in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 700 block of Sligo Avenue in in Silver Spring. The suspect entered the laundry room, ordered the woman to face him; she did not comply.
Police say the assailant then showed an open pocketknife as he approached the woman. As she began to scream for help, the suspect fled from the room.

Authorities need the public’s help to identify the suspected assailant.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 16 and 18 years old, 5’6″ tall, with short black hair and wearing a diamond earring in each ear. He was wearing a white, short-sleeve T-shirt and white skinny jeans.
