Fatal Crash Kills Motorcyclist: Police

A man driving a motorcycle was killed early Tuesday in a car crash that unfolded in Chevy Chase.

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — A man died early Tuesday when he was involved in a car crash in Chevy Chase.

The Montgomery County Police Department said the fatal incident took place near the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue. Emergency crews were called to the scene at 6:14 a.m.

First responders pronounced the man who had been driving the motorcycle dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a woman, remained at the scene but was later treated for minor injuries.

Neither the man nor the woman were identified by police.

It's unclear what prompted the fatal crash, or if any charges will be filed in the case.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
