Man Charged With Possession of Handgun, Crack Cocaine
Police arrested a Hyattsville man following a traffic stop in Silver Spring.

A Hyattsville man was arrested by Montgomery County Police on weapons and drug trafficking charges after a Silver Spring traffic stop, authorities say.
Officers stopped a vehicle Ramon Ramsey, 23, was riding in about 10:15 p.m. Monday near Piney Branch Road and Manchester Road in Silver Spring. Officers asked Ramsey -- a rear seat passenger -- to get out of the car after he appeared to be trying to conceal something.
As he climbed out of the vehicle, police say his shirt lifted up and officers saw a Taurus .357 caliber long-barrel handgun tucked in the waistband of his pants.

Officers reportedly found individually wrapped baggies of crack cocaine in Ramsey’s front pants pocket.
Ramsey was charged with handgun offenses and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. He was ordered held without bond.
