Multiple Fraud And Auto Cases Solved With 1 Arrest In Carderock Park
U.S. Park Police solved multiple cases of theft from auto and fraud in Montgomery County with one arrest in Carderock Park, police said.
CARDEROCK, MD — United States Park Police officers solved multiple cases of theft from auto and fraud across Maryland and Virginia with a single arrest of a 20-year-old Lothian man, police said.
On Thursday, March 30, Park Police stopped a white Jeep in Carderock Park in Potomac for a traffic violation, police said. All three people in the car were arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The front seat passenger was also in possession of a car opening device, also known as a "slim jim." Police discovered one of the vehicles in the parking lot of the park was broken into and missing several items. These items were then found inside the Jeep, police said.

Police charged Charles Allen Fry with theft from auto in connection to the car broken into in the parking lot.
Further investigation revealed that Fry was linked to five other theft from auto cases in National Park areas along the Potomac, including: Great Falls, Carderock Park, Widewater and Lock 10, police said.

Fry is also the person of interest in multiple theft from auto and fraud cases in Montgomery County and Baltimore County, and Fairfax County in Virginia, police said.
Officers discovered Fry also has multiple outstanding warrants from Anne Arundel County in Maryland, police said.
