Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed In Crash
A Rockville man was identified as the motorcyclist killed earlier this week in a collision involving a Tesla.
BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD — The motorcyclist killed in a fatal collision earlier this week was identified as 29-year-old Daniel Arthur Leone IV.
In a release, the Montgomery County Police Department said the Rockville man was pronounced dead near the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue.
First responders were called to the scene at 6:14 a.m.

An investigation into the fatal crash revealed the incident took place as a woman driving a gray 2026 Tesla Model Y was making a left turn from a southbound Connecticut Avenue lane onto eastbound Manor Road.
"For reasons still under investigation, it was struck by a red 2015 BMW S1000 motorcycle traveling northbound on Connecticut Avenue," authorities said.

The driver of the Tesla, who has not been identified, remained on scene and was later hospitalized for minor injuries.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and that it "may take several weeks to months to complete."
