Police Investigating Fatal North Bethesda House Fire
The Sunday afternoon blaze took one man's life; another man was treated for injuries, say Montgomery County police.

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — The Montgomery County police are investigating a house fire Sunday that took a man's life. The police said Monday that they're awaiting the results of an autopsy of the individual, whose name has not been released.
At about 4:23 p.m. Sunday, the police and fire and rescue personnel responded to a house fire in the 5200 block of Danbury Road. After they extinguished the fire, the firefighters entered the house and found the man's body, the police said. (Get Patch’s real-time news alerts or like us on Facebook. The police and firefighters found another man, a victim of the fire, outside the house, and he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The deceased man’s body was taken to Baltimore, where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine his identity and the manner and cause of his death, the police said.
Detectives with the Police Department's Major Crimes Division urge anyone who may have any information on this house fire to contact the division at 240-773-5070.
