• Maryland Man Accused of Pistol-Whipping Victim During Silver Spring Robbery (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Bladensburg man has been arrested and held without bond after Montgomery County police say he pistol-whipped a victim and stole a cellphone during a July armed robbery outside an apartment complex in Silver Spring. Investigators allege the 36-year-old displayed a handgun, struck the victim in the head multiple times, and then pointed the weapon before fleeing, though all charges remain unproven in court.
