16 More Coronavirus Deaths In PG County; 4,141 Confirmed Cases
Prince George's County is breaking down the latest numbers of positive coronavirus cases in the county by ZIP code.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Maryland Department of Health confirmed Thursday 266 new cases of the new coronavirus in Prince George's County. That brings the overall total to 4,141 confirmed positive3 cases. Sixteen more people died due to the new coronavirus, bringing the overall total of deaths in the county attributed to the disease to 141.
Prince George's County still has the highest number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus of any county in the state, according to the latest data from the Maryland Department of Health. Second on the list is Montgomery County, with a total of 3,060 positive infections.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan joined Prince George's County officials Wednesday to celebrate the reopening of Laurel Hospital Center as part of the state's response to the new coronavirus pandemic. According to Hogan, the Laurel Hospital Center is just a piece of the larger puzzle in the state's plan to combat the new coronavirus on the path toward recovery.
