Suspect, Victim Identified in Landover Homicide: Update
Prince George's County Police say a Northeast Washington man is charged with murder in the shooting of a Landover man.

LANDOVER, MD — Prince George’s County Police have charged a Northeast Washington man in a fatal shooting that happened Sunday in Landover.
Homicide detectives said Monday they have charged James Norris III 28, of Mount Olivet Road in Northeast Washington with fatally shooting Turrell Blake, 28, of Catesby Terrace in Landover.

Police say the homicide was reported about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Brightseat Road.
Officers found Blake suffering from gunshot wounds outside a building. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives say Norris and Blake were acquaintances who argued, and that escalated into the shooting. Norris was arrested a short time after the incident.
He’s charged with first-degree murder and related charges. He is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
