3 Kids Critically Injured in Car Wreck; 7 Hurt in Total

The Chillum crash injured four children and three adults, according to emergency officials.

Four children were injured, three critically, in a Chillum car crash Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.

Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue spokesman Mark Brady said that seven people were hurt in the two-vehicle accident at New Hampshire Avenue and Poplar Avenue. One of the vehicles struck a tree.

The ages of the children hurt range from 4 to 10, Brady said. One child was seriously injured.

Three adults, all in their 30s, were taken to area hospitals with a variety of injuries, none believed to be life-threatening, he said.
