3-Year-Old Falls From 6th Floor Balcony, Flown To MD Trauma Center

A 3-year-old who fell from the 6th floor balcony of a multi-family home has been flown to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — A 3-year-old child reportedly fell from a sixth floor balcony at a multi-family home Tuesday afternoon.

The child was flown by U.S. Park Police's Eagle One medevac with life-threatening injuries, officials report.

The call for help came in around 1:52 p.m. Aug. 12 at the home located in the 9300 block of Cherry Hill Road in College Park. The apartment complex is located less than three miles north of the University of Maryland's campus, FOX DC reported.

Firefighters and EMTs arrived on the scene and found the injured toddler.

Prince George's County Fire Departmentofficials said on social media the child is suffering from life-threatening injuries.
