She purchased the lucky tickets at Ardwick Liquors in nearby Landover and later discovered both had hit while waiting in a car, and she plans to use the windfall for bills and home repairs.
   

• Maryland Nurse Pleads Guilty to Health Care Fraud Conspiracy for Role in $14 Million D.C. Medicaid Scheme (justice.gov) — A registered nurse from Bowie has pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiring in a $14 million scheme that fraudulently billed D.C. Medicaid for mental health services that were never properly provided. Prosecutors say her role alone cost Medicaid more than $550,000, and she now faces up to 10 years in prison, fines, and restitution when sentenced.
