PGCPS Graduating Seniors Learn Computer Glitch Robbed Them Of Required Credits
Nearly three dozen PGCPS graduating seniors have learned that a computer glitch cost them credits they need to graduate.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Close to three dozen Prince George's County high school seniors haven't met graduation requirements due to a glitch in the system the school district uses to verify their credits.
Students are set to receive their diplomas in a few months but numerous parents received a letter from Prince George's County Public Schools that said:
“It has come to our attention that our Graduation Notification Tool used to verify credits needed to graduate was inaccurate. While your scholar has successfully earned 3 science credits, they are unfortunately missing an earth and space science credit needed to graduate in May 2023.”
