Bowie's annual Fourth of July celebration will take place at Allen Pond Park, kicking off with a variety of tunes played by Diamond Alley. At approximately 9, the Mayor will welcome everyone before a brief flag ceremony and the singing of the National Anthem. The fireworks display will then start at 9:15, and can be seen from both the Northview Drive and the Mitchellville Road sides of the park. Food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 3. Grills are permitted in designated areas only. Pets will not be allowed in the park that day. The rain date for fireworks is July 5.
