Residents of Prince George's County can now tour this once-abandoned sand and gravel operation to walk the restored wetlands and wildlife habitat area bordering the Patuxent River. Meet members of the PG Audubon Society in the parking lot at 7600 Governor Bridge Road on the third Saturday of every month for bird and nature walks. No reservations are needed. Binoculars and waterproof footwear are recommended.
