Flash Flood Warning for Region Saturday Night

Residents warned to be especially cautious due to the nighttime storm, according to National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the area Saturday night, through 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Thunderstorms producing heavy rains are moving across the area and one inch of rain has already fallen, with more rain expected.

The additional rain — up to two inches — will cause creeks and streams to rise rapidly out of their banks, and produce flash flooding in urban areas, according to the NWS.
