Former Boyfriend Charged in Woman's Murder: Police
A family member found an Upper Marlboro woman dead in her home with signs of trauma, police say.

A Charles County man who was at one time in a relationship with an Upper Marlboro woman has been charged with her murder.
Suspect Mitchell Jerome Cole, 56, of the 3700 block of Acquinsicke Place in White Plains has been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder, according to Prince George’s County Police. Authorities say Cole killed Amanda Jones, 56, on Monday night in her home in the 900 block of Andean Goose Way.
A family member who found Jones suffering from trauma called police about 10:25 a.m. Tuesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motive for the murder is under investigation.
Cole is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
